Of course! You will look like a younger, healthy version of yourself. We often tell our patients, after having a biostimulator injected look at your pictures of yourself in 3 months compared to those prior and your skin will be noticeably brighter, smoother, and younger looking.

A bit of lidocaine (freezing) is included in the biostimulator mixture, to help reduce discomfort you may feel during treatment. Most patients describe the pain as mild, if any. For a few days afterward you may feel some tension in the area that has been injected. 

Common side effects that resolve in a few days may include a tight feeling (in temples), redness, possibly slight bruising at insertion point of the cannula otherwise swelling is quite minimal as your body absorbs the water mixture quite quickly over the first 1-2 days.   

Decades ago when Sculptra was first used it wasn't diluted enough and little rice like nodules could form if the injections were placed too shallow or in areas of tight muscle. Now, the industry standard is to mix using twice the amount of solution which has improved outcomes immensely.   Proper injection technique and having a trusted injector, such as yours truly, helps mitigate these types of reactions.

Treatments take 60-90 minutes. Treatment times vary depending on the number of injections that are required for the results you want. Most people can return to their normal routine the day they are treated. Unlike filler, there is little swelling because the biostimulators are watery solutions not a thick gel.

Results can be seen in 6-8 weeks and  frequently last 18 to 36 months.
